Katelyn grew up in Lanark County and spent a lot of her childhood on her grandparent’s dairy farm in Perth, following her dad around like his little shadow. Her first pet was a small black rabbit named “Paws”.  As a kid she loved adored all animals but really developed a strong passion for horses and horseback riding. She even competed in some local shows winning some ribbons. Katelyn knew at a young age that working alongside animals was the career for her. She graduated from the Algonquin College Veterinary Assistant program in 2013. Katelyn became a member of our team in 2022. She has over 7 years of experience working in the veterinary industry. You may find her at the reception desk, helping in appointments, assisting in surgery and out on the road helping with farm calls. Katelyn’s dream is to own a small hobby farm with a variety of animals. She’s currently starting with a small flock of chickens.  In her spare time, when she’s not working at the clinic she can be found working at the barn with the horses or out on a hike with her fiancé and their two-border collie’s, Beckett and Piper. Katelyn also enjoys camping, fishing and spending time at the lake with family and friends.
